Welcome
Tin Can Music

Greetings from all of us here at Tin Can Music. We are a group of people who are passionate about music. We write and perform, we teach, and we
encourage others to love music as much as we do.

Our music school takes students of all ages and abilities – the youngest was four and the oldest so far was 86 years old. We teach from beginners to advanced students, offering individual and group lessons, ensembles and band training.

Our senior music teacher is Michael Engberg who has years of experience teaching and playing all over the world. He has been teaching here in Hervey Bay for the last five years and we are proud to have him join our team.

Our Teaching tab will show you what’s available and we hope you’ll be joining us soon.

“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”

- Victor Hugo -

Who are we?

We are a new private music school teaching here in Hervey Bay. We have a home studio with a welcoming environment for children and families.

Our music co-ordinator and senior teacher is Michael Engberg who also
teaches at other schools around the Bay. He has a Masters in Music and has been teaching and performing for over 20 years.

Michael teaches a range of instruments – strings, keyboard and trumpet, and can also teach singing, music theory, composition, and song writing.

He has studied learning and teaching techniques relating to both children and adults, and communicates well with people of all ages and skill levels.

He is a kind and generous teacher and has had significant experience working with children with additional needs.

To hear some of his music he has his own website at
www.manyhatsmusic.com.

“…But if you want music to be your livelihood, then play, play, play and play! Eventually you’ll get to where you want to be.”
